CORSET COURSE

This course is for an advanced designer who already knows how to sew and cut fabric into various designs (whether using patterns or freehand) and is experienced in these. He or she must be ready to unlearn and relearn in order to make the most of this experience.

  • Waist cinching techniques
  • Cupped corset with zipper closure
  • 3-part cupped corset with lacing closure (loop and eyelet)
  • Over-bust corset
  • Modest over-bust corset for fuller bust
  • Plunging neck corset with full coverage
  • Basque V-shaped corset bodice
  • Funnel corset
  • Sheer corset
  • Victorian corset
  • Hip padding











PROJECT

You are expected to carry out a project, which you will execute based the knowledge and skill acquired during the course.

The fee for this course is dependent on the learning option selected. Registration fee is ₦5,000.

So free hand cutting and pattern making? Well I have been here and there, but I must confess my preference for pattern making, and I am also a huge fan of standard sizes. I hope that is not too much for a beginner. Ok let me take it one step at a time. Free hand cutting, I believe a large number of us would be aware of it, but we might not know its name. Free hand cutting entails cutting a fabric directly, making use of the wearer‘s measurement. Tailors chalk may or may not be used to make markings on the fabric.
